Kasumi, the high-end contemporary Japanese restaurant inside the Waterstone Resort & Marina in Boca Raton, recently launched a new omakase experience. Available nightly from 5 to 8 p.m., the omakase is crafted by master sushi chef Toyoji Hemmi as well as head chefs Takashi Yagihashi and Jonathan Fox.
The multicourse menu is priced at $150 per person and includes seasonal nigiri and sashimi flown in from Japan, delicate small plates, and signature specialty rolls. While the menu will change weekly, recent highlights have included black Mission fig shirae tofu with mascarpone and aged balsamic; pastrami King salmon with mustard miso; soy caramel glazed pork belly with kabocha and shishito peppers; and bincho-grilled hamachi collar with daikon and citrus soy. The exclusive omakase-only finale is a pavê of milk and dark chocolate with cinnamon ice cream.
