Resource Depot will host its Creative Climate Challenge on October 8, inviting the community to team up for a fast-paced evening of climate trivia, creative reuse, and hands-on problem solving.
The free event is an official Florida Climate Week 2026 event, part of a statewide week of virtual sessions and in-person community programs taking place October 5-11 and designed to inspire education, engagement, and action around Florida’s climate and resilience challenges.
Participants are invited to bring friends or join a team and put their climate knowledge to the test. The evening begins with climate trivia, where teams can earn “carbon credits” they can use during a creative design challenge. Using reclaimed materials from Resource Depot, teams will be challenged to design, build, and pitch a creative solution to a real Florida climate challenge. Participants will compete for upcycled trophies, bragging rights, and the chance to show how creative thinking and reuse can help tackle environmental challenges.
