Just in time for football season, a new sports bar has entered the chat. Sports & Rec. debuted over the summer in West Palm Beach’s Nora District. It has everything you’d expect from a sports bar—including 27 TV screens—but in a chicer package, complete with a clay court patio and tennis-tinged interiors that would make Richie Tenenbaum feel right at home. The food and libations reflect that upscale vibe. The drinks playbook ranges from craft cocktails to draft beer and bubbles, while the menu boasts tacos, nachos, wings, and more, all with a posh flair befitting the Palm Beaches.

Sports & Rec. is the first Florida outpost from The Garret Group, which already operates Rocco’s Sports & Rec. in New York City and Boston.
“West Palm Beach felt like a natural fit for Sports & Rec. because there’s so much energy and growth happening here, but it still has a strong sense of community and its own distinct lifestyle,” says co-founder Adam Fulton. “We also saw an opportunity to create a concept that felt distinctly right for West Palm Beach—something that captures the energy and social atmosphere of a great sports bar while delivering the food, drinks, design, and hospitality of an elevated dining experience.”
Fulton’s business partner and co-founder, Gavin Moseley, agrees, adding that food was top of mind when crafting the concept.
“We wanted to move beyond what people traditionally expect from a sports bar and create a menu that still has the game-day favorites you want but with the quality, variety, and attention to detail that makes you want to come back even when there isn’t a game on,” he explains. “For West Palm Beach specifically, it was important that the menu felt connected to the local lifestyle. We put a real emphasis on fresh, local fish and our raw bar alongside elevated takes on familiar favorites. Ultimately, we want to be a neighborhood restaurant first—a place locals genuinely love to eat—with the energy and excitement of sports built around it.”
