The Lighthouse ArtCenter is inviting the community to create artwork for inclusion in its upcoming “Annual Faculty & Community Exhibition,” presented by Debra and Peter Tornaben, on view December 3–12. Open to all ages and abilities, the exhibition showcases faculty and community artwork while supporting local artists and arts education.

Community members are invited to create artwork on 12-inch by 12-inch canvases, which are either available for free pickup at Lighthouse ArtCenter or their own canvas. No previous art experience is needed. Completed artwork must be delivered to Lighthouse ArtCenter before 5 p.m. on November 30.
Last year, community members contributed more than 150 pieces. Works are exhibited anonymously, encouraging visitors to focus on the art, and are priced at $200 each. Proceeds from the artwork sales are split equally between the artist and Lighthouse ArtCenter. Alongside the community contributions, approximately 70 works by faculty will be on display and available for purchase.
During the exhibition’s opening reception on December 3, meet faculty, discuss their work, and ask about classes, including ceramics, watercolor, jewelry, fused glass, photography, and textiles for adults, teens, and children, from beginners to experienced artists. In addition, selected community artwork will be featured in “12 x 12: Take a Chance,” a fundraiser that invites guests to purchase one or more 12 numbered slots per artwork for $50 each. After entries close, a 12-sided die is rolled for each piece, the guest with the matching number wins.
Admission is free for members; a $10 donation is suggested for nonmembers. For exhibition and participation details and year-round classes, visit lighthousearts.org.
