Mango madness will take over J Street in downtown Lake Worth Beach with the first-ever Mango Music & Art Festival September 5. Founded by Alexandra Dupuis (who owns and operates Pomona restaurant on Lake Avenue), this free, family-friendly event will kick off at 1 p.m. and feature live music, lots of food, art installations, and a variety of artisans and local vendors. A portion of proceeds from the festival will benefit nonprofit organizations such as The Guatemalan-Maya Center, which supports Maya refugees and other immigrant families via educational programming, health initiatives, and social services, and Path to College, which helps underserved students pursue higher education.
