Last week, the Palm Beach Photographic Centre in West Palm Beach announced the winners of its “Nineteenth Annual Members’ Show.” This juried exhibition features works by members of the Photographic Centre and is on display through November 7.
This year’s “Member’s Show” was judged by Scott Mc Kiernan, who is a trailblazer in the world of digital and editorial photography. He created the first online database of editorial images, established the editorial picture agency ZUMA Press, and represents many internationally renowned photojournalists.
Mr. Mc Kiernan and the Palm Beach Photographic Centre awarded Best in Show to Steve Horan of Lake Worth for his photo Man of Peace—Giant Bulltail, which he shot as part of his People of Yellowstone project. Two Honorable Mentions were awarded to Louisa Michelin of Boca Raton for Golden Harbour King Penguins, which she shot in Antartica, and Erika Masterson of Melbourne for Flower Shower. Check out all three winning images below and view the “Nineteenth Annual Member’s Show” for even more amazing photography by local shutterbugs.
