Third Annual Taste of Recovery Takes Over Delray Beach on June 1

Chef Louie Bossi of Louie Bossi’s Ristorante will invite the community a tasting event to raise funds for a local nonprofit that helps those struggling with a prominent issue in the hospitality industry: addiction.

On June 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., foodies and supporters will gather at the Old School Square Pavilion in Delray Beach for Bossi’s third annual Taste of Recovery benefitting The Crossroads Club. The 12-step based meeting center in Delray Beach serves an average of 900 people per day in recovery from addiction. Crossroads was instrumental in helping Bossi, who is more than 10 years sober, with his own recovery journey.

The bash will feature live entertainment from Dave Scott and the Reckless Shots and bites from restaurants such as Bird in the Hand, Brulé Bistro, City Oyster, DADA, Driftwood, Death or Glory, Hai House, Josie’s Ristorante, Rocco’s Tacos, Michael’s Catering, Seasons 52, Winemaker’s Table, Subculture Coffee, and of course, Louie Bossi’s.

Participating chefs will compete for a number of prizes, worth $2,500 each, including “Best Bite,” “People’s Choice,” and “Critics’ Choice,” which will be judged by Sun-Sentinel dining critic Mike Mayo, Florida Weekly and Coastal Star food writer Jan Norris, and restaurant consultant Robert Higginbotham.

Pre-sale tickets are available here for $40, and at the door for $50.
