Looking for something unique to do for your next night out? Try the Lantern Festival at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens on Saturday, October 15.

Inspired by Obon, Japan’s traditional three-day holiday honoring ancestors, the Morikami will celebrate this fall festival in one fun-packed evening. Guests can enjoy Japanese folk-dancing, drumming, the museum’s Ennichi street fair, the Morikami’s iconic lantern floating ceremony, and an electrifying fireworks show, all in the spirit of Obon – Japan’s summer homage to ancestors who return for a brief visit to the living. The Lantern Festival will feature Japanese street fair food and drinks, crafts, and activities.
