Artist Mike Silverman to Unveil Exhibition at GalleRE

Delray Beach-based artist Mike Silverman will unveil “Tech Soul: Art from Digital Detritus,” a captivating solo exhibition that reimagines discarded technology as artistic expression. The exhibition will be on view at GalleRE at Resource Depot in West Palm Beach from September 27 to October 30.

The inaugural exhibition, featuring never-before-seen works, celebrates the profound beauty and humanity to be found in upcycled e-waste (think: hard-drive platters, motherboards, and more).

Each consciously created piece incorporates environmental interaction and reflections directly into the design, allowing the artwork’s appearance to shift and evolve with the observer’s perspective, a method developed specifically for these materials.

The exhibition revolves around three distinct series:

• “Reflections” invites self-discovery by using lighting and reflections to contrast viewers’ inner and outer worlds.
• “Connection” weaves narratives about human relationships from technology waste.
• “Beyond Humanity” offers speculative visions of life forms in a post-human future.

The exhibition will be unveiled during an opening reception on September 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Plus, enjoy an adult workshop on October 4; panel discussion on October 9; and a family worksop on October 25.
