The spirit of Sonoma wine country will sit center stage at Bistro 1001’s monthly vintner dinner, held on May 28.

Five courses from the restaurant’s local-driven kitchen will pair with vintages from Kenwood Vineyards, an award-winning winery located in the heart of Sonoma that has been making wine for over 40 years. Wine maker Zeke Neeley crafts cuvée-style wines with fruit that’s been mostly hand-picked and fermented and aged separately by lot, making for blends that express the region’s distinct terroir.

Attendees can expect pairings such as: seared lion fish with Sonoma Coast sauvignon blanc, gazpacho with farmer’s cheese, tomato, cucumber, and sherry air and Russian River Valley pinot noir, lobster fra diavolo and Jack London merlot, chicken osso bucco with Jack London zinfandel, and vanilla pudding with Oreo crumbs and chocolate shavings with Kenwood Lillet Spritz.

The welcome reception begins at 6:30 p.m. and dinner costs $68, plus tax and gratuity. RSVP here.
