Raised on the North End with her five siblings, Cara Coniglio McClure is a bona fide local: Her family owns restaurants and commercial buildings on the island and her mom has served as the mayor of Palm Beach for the last decade. McClure spent a brief time away, studying classical voice at the College of Charleston, but she’s carrying on the family legacy. She resides in midtown Palm Beach with her husband and their five daughters, who range in age from 2 months to 8 years old. Professionally, she’s a successful real estate agent in Palm Beach and coastal West Palm Beach; she also serves on the board of the Town of Palm Beach United Way (she launched the Turkey Trot on the island 12 years ago and continues to host it with her husband every year). Still, she says her greatest accomplishment is her family. McClure and her family also love visiting their place in the Berry Islands during the summer.

CURRENT STATE OF MIND Newborn bliss. I feel blessed beyond measure to have five healthy children and am obsessed with our little girl gang. Every other stress in the world melts away in comparison to this.

STYLE ICON My little sister, Christina Coniglio, who is the senior design director at LoveShackFancy. Ever since she was a kid, she’s had effortless style and a creative gift that I wish I had.

COFFEE ORDER A hot coconut latte from Pumphouse Coffee Roasters

SIGNATURE ACCESSORIES Tortoiseshell sunglasses, hoop earrings, and my cross necklace. I have never taken off my necklace since I was 12 years old and am rarely seen without my hoops or shades.

WARDROBE ESSENTIALS I live in sundresses, mainly because I don’t have time in the morning to put together an ensemble, so cute dresses are my go-to. I love my ballet pink Gucci slides to streamline and dress up my simple outfits.

FAVORITE PALM BEACH BITE The pho at Echo is incredible. I’ve been going there for years and didn’t try it until this year, and now I’m addicted.

DISH WORTH EVERY CALORIE Cucina’s ragú Bolognese. It’s like a warm blanket in a meal.

GO-TO DRINK Spicy margarita on the rocks with salt

FAVORITE HAPPY HOUR Outside at E.R. Bradley’s overlooking the water with a bikini on after a day of wakesurfing on the boat.

IDEAL LAST MEAL The tuna burger at Palm Beach Grill with french fries and a chocolate sundae, hold the nuts.

SHOPS LOCAL AT LoveShackFancy, of course. The dresses fit me perfectly and make me feel young and feminine.

KARAOKES IN THE CAR TO Taylor Swift, “Come Sail Away” by Styx, and “Proud Mary”

GUILTY PLEASURE SONG FROM HER TEEN YEARS “Esa Morena” by DJ Laz. All my best friends were Latin, and we would go crazy when we heard that song.

BINGE WATCHES Bridgerton

MOVIES SHE’S SEEN MORE THAN 10 TIMES Frozen and Moana, thanks to my kids. But I have had an obsession with Disney movies since childhood.

PRODUCT SHE CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT Rodan + Fields tinted sunscreen. It’s light and gives great coverage.

HER HAPPY PLACE Surfing and being on the boat with my husband, Jared, and the girls. I feel so restored after an hour of being in the ocean with them; it’s like my saltwater gospel.

NEVER FLIES WITHOUT A hooded sweatshirt. I am convinced my lion’s mane of hair will get lice from an airplane seat.

PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT 2020 in real estate—I was very thankful to sell over $100 million last year while grieving the death of my father and throwing up every day from pregnancy with all the kids at home in COVID restrictive life. It was quite a year, and one that taught me that when things get tough, you buckle up and keep moving forward.

FAVORITE VISTA My parents’ beach property across from their house. I can literally feel my dad’s presence there and have complete peace of mind and clarity when I’m watching the waves and smelling the salt air. My dad came from nothing and worked his entire life to earn that spot. He never missed a day on the beach and would often make his business deals while sitting on the hammock. I am inspired by him always, but especially when I am there.
