The House Kitchen & Bar

I am lucky enough to live next door to The Park in West Palm Beach. This golf course has a lot going for it, not least of which is The House Kitchen & Bar, where chef Jason Van Bomel recently debuted a fresh brunch menu. While I usually go savory—the brisket breakfast tacos, for example—it just makes sense to order a “table waffle” for everyone to share. The Banoffee Waffle (layered with dulce de leche, bananas, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings) will do the trick. And because I can walk home, a libation or two is always in the cards. The Mimoso Flight and the Raspberry & Rose cocktail (with Empress 1908 Elderflower Rose Gin, raspberry, lemon, vanilla simple syrup, and egg white) are both calling my name. —Mary Murray, executive editor

Isla & Co.

A dreamy garden brunch in the middle of the city? Yes, please. Isla & Co.’s urban-cool location at the newly branded Caroline Station in West Palm Beach has great energy, which, in my opinion, is a brunch must. Another must: a quintessential midmorning dish that gives both breakfast and lunch vibes. For me, that’s the Australian-inflected mushroom toast, heaped with garlicky mushrooms and kale, a poached egg, and an outstanding chimichurri whipped ricotta that makes the dish. —Daphne Nikolopoulos, editor in chief

City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill

City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill in West Palm Beach serves up its indulgent iteration of a brunch Benedict by showcasing fresh, succulent, butter-poached cold-water lobster and sublime poached eggs on a crispy-tender English muffin, topped with house hollandaise and nestled alongside breakfast potatoes. Pro tip: pair the dish with a Hugo Spritz, a refreshing concoction of butterfly pea flower–infused gin, St-Germain, botanical liqueur, Prosecco, and fresh lemon. —Allison Wolfe Reckson, managing editor

Vincent’s Authentic French Bakery

There are two things I love in this world: French pastries and enjoying them outdoors. On days when brunch is on the agenda, the pace of the day is usually slow and relaxed, which are ideal conditions for savoring a buttery almond croissant, a leek and Swiss quiche, and a cappuccino in Vincent’s Authentic French Bakery’s enchanting garden terrace in downtown Lake Worth Beach. Did I mention those croissants are baked fresh daily, ready at 8 a.m.? Yum! —Abigail Duffy, web editor
