The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium (SFSCA) in West Palm Beach is taking care of Halloween fun this season, with festive events like the Fall Family Fun Fest and Spooky Laser Lights and Bites. The Family Fun Fest returns on Saturday, October 9, in partnership with PNC Grow Up Great Foundation.Spooky Laser Lights and Bites will be held on Friday, October 29.
Guests of all ages are invited for a day of fall-themed crafts, live science demonstrations, and outdoor entertainment at Fall Family Fun Fest, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to explore SFSCA’s “Dinosaur Revolution” exhibit where little ones can participate in reptilian role play activities or journey through three Mesozoic missions spanning 150 million years. Food provided by Nuts About Sugar will be available for purchase.
Return to the center for the Spooky Laser Lights and Bites outdoor event from 6 to 9 p.m. Become bewitched by this mesmerizing, Halloween-themed laser show and don’t miss out on spell-binding live science demonstrations on stage. Hungry trick-or-treaters will leave with STEM bags, treat giveaways, and food provided by Nuts About Sugar.
“We may not have crisp New England air, but we love when the seasons change to introduce fun and educational programming around the holidays,” said Kate Arrizza, President and CEO for the SFSCA. “We are excited to add a dash of spook and science this fall and to give guests the opportunity to parade in their best Halloween costumes yet as we work toward our mission of opening every mind to science.”
Fall Family Fun Fest is included with paid admission: $18.95 for adults; $14.95 for children; and $16.95 for seniors. For Spooky Science, tickets will be discounted for the evening event at $16.95 for adults, $12.95 for kids ages 3 to 12, and $14.95 for seniors. For members, kids are free and adults are $12.95.
