Spice up your at-home pamper routine with this simple yet effective recipe from Eau Palm Beach’s Eau Spa. Until the resort reopens on Wednesday, July 1, experience the quintessential luxury of an exotic pampering treatment from the comfort of your home spa. The spa’s lead stylist, Mimma Badalamenti, recommends this easy recipe to hydrate and add luster to tresses of all types.

1 Egg

1/2 of an avocado

1 tbsp. honey

1 tbsp. of lemon juice (optional to brighten blonde hair)

(Double the ingredients for long or thick hair)

Smash avocado in a bowl and add egg, honey, and optional lemon juice slowly.

Note: It helps to have the items at room temperature to blend evenly.

Add water and mix to a conditioner consistency.

Apply to dry hair starting from scalp working toward ends of the hair

Leave mixture on for 15 minutes with shower cap or plastic wrap, followed with a warm moist towel for 5 minutes to help the follicles seal in the hydration.

Wash out with a light shampoo and style as usual.

What it does:

Proteins in the egg and omega fatty acids in the avocado strengthen the hair and add shine.
