Lafayette 148 recently unveiled a new boutique at The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens. The new store comes on the heels of the house’s landmark twenty-fifth anniversary and boasts 2,804 square-feet of space for the brand’s full ready-to-wear, footwear, handbags, jewelry, and accessories collections.
The boutique reflects design-led commitment to Lafayette L148’s future, while celebrating its SoHo origins in collaboration with Creative Director Emily Smith. The brand’s emphasis on materiality and construction lends effortless femininity to the store environment, modernizing the industrial foundations and creating a natural connection between the architecture and the collections.
The design features include an oil-rubbed patina bronze wall that flanks mirrors designed to capture the eye and highlight the space’s architectural intrigue. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s global flagship at 59 Greene Street in New York, elements include French white oak hardwood flooring, seating areas, and ice onyx jewelry vitrines.
L148 supports female artists and creators by commissioning and sourcing unique decorative elements for the interiors. The space features custom planters from Brooklyn-based artist Julianna Anh, complemented by an avant-garde Roly Poly chair by Faye Toogood. Two works by photographer and friend of the house Sophie Elgort will be on permanent display.
