Exploring north Palm Beach County by boat is a must for visitors and residents alike. But not just any boat—hop aboard one of the Pon Tiki’s dressed-up pontoon boats for a sightseeing tour of the Jupiter Inlet area. Embarking from Guanabanas, a three-hour tour aboard a bamboo-bedecked floating patio is a great way to experience the best part of the area. Cruises cost $30 per person per hour and include beer and wine. Three tours are available: the Trapper Nelson Tour, Sandbar Parties and Intracoastal Cruises, each a boat party waiting to happen.
- The Trapper Nelson Cruise lasts a minimum of four hours and travels eight miles up the Loxahatchee River to Trapper Nelson’s in the heart of Jonathan Dickinson State Park. This cruise is an excellent opportunity for wildlife watching as the boat transitions from saltwater to brackish to freshwater. It’s also a great cruise for children.
- Sandbar Party cruises takes passengers to one of the best lounge areas on the water. The three-hour tour visits the North County sandbar, just off the Jupiter Pointe Club & Marina, and allows cruisers to swim and lounge along the shallow water hotspot.
- The Intracoastal Cruise, a two-hour minimum excursion, is a great opportunity to cruise along the busy waterway with a beer in hand. Time your cruise with sunset to enjoy views of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse as it shines the Fresnel lens, and grab a bite to eat afterwards at Guanabanas.
