On February 14, the Hope for Depression Research Foundation (HDRF) will celebrate the eighth anniversary of its signature Race of Hope 5K Walk & Run at Bradley Park. More than 1,000 participants are expected to lace up their running shoes to raise funds for advanced depression research.
HDRF founding chair Audrey Gruss and HDRF board member Scott Snyder will serve as co-grand marshals. They will lead participants on a 5K (3.1 mile) route starting at Bradley Park and looping along the Palm Beach Lake Trail. The race is family-friendly and open to all ages and speeds. Dogs and strollers are welcomed.
Participants can pick up their race gear on February 13, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Mandel Recreation Center “North Colonnade” (340 Seaview Avenue) in Palm Beach.
Check-in on race day takes place from at 6:30 to 7:45 a.m., and the Race of Hope begins at 8 a.m. Beverages and snacks will be offered at the finish line.
Registration is $55 through February 13, and $60 on race day. For more information or to register for the race, visit raceofhopeseries.com.
