Robert Goldberg has the indomitable spirit of an educator. Whether reading to 3-year-olds in their Worlds of Wonder classroom, cheering for athletic teams from the stands, or attending a performance in Benjamin’s state-of-the-art theater, he can be seen traversing campus throughout the day. Goldberg is in his tenth year as Head of School at Benjamin, an independent, non-profit college preparatory school serving PK3 through grade 12. During this time, he has advanced a growing curriculum including a 15-year Mandarin Chinese program and a prestigious engineering certificate program.
Goldberg is kind, courageous, and fair. He is the embodiment of the Benjamin spirit of personal responsibility, self-motivation, concern for others, and commitment to serving society. Goldberg, who has decades of experience at independent schools, has filled many roles during his tenure in education including: Spanish teacher and head of a foreign language department, academic dean, Upper School Head and Head of School at other prestigious independent schools. He received his undergraduate degree from Temple University and his masters from Rutgers.
