While Matt Kernkraut may be the face of Jewish philanthropy in the Palm Beaches, his true passion is inspiring generous individuals to be their most philanthropic selves and address the most critical issues facing people in the Jewish community.
After an impressive 15-year tenure as a senior development leader at Harvard University, Kernkraut is now the chief development officer for Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. Referred to as the “city hall” of the Jewish community, Jewish Federation responds to pressing needs here at home, in Israel, and in 70 countries around the world.
Last year alone, generous community members fueled this impact by contributing an astounding $37 million to the Jewish Federation through its annual campaign, foundation, emergency relief efforts, and corporate philanthropy. With his genuine desire to learn about people, Kernkraut is quickly ensuring everyone can look to the Federation for guidance on the community’s greatest needs and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
