Two powerhouse marital law boutiques merged in 2018, bringing partners Jeff Fisher, Zac Potter, and Ben Hodas into one firm. The partners are all trial court litigators. In the last year alone, they tried to judgment 10 cases with a total amount in dispute of more than $1.75 billion. While most of the firm’s cases are handled quietly and privately, the firm is routinely mentioned in news reports of the biggest family law cases in the state.
In a recent feature story titled “How to Hide $400 Million,” The New York Times observed that the partners have formed a “highly creative” private “wealth squad” that transcends the normal family law practice. The biographies of the seven lawyers who work for the firm feature alma maters such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Penn, as well as experience with the U.S. Department of Justice, which is indicative of the firm’s philosophy that high-stakes cases are won through both “brains and brawn.”
